"Feeding Your Demons" with Lama Tsultrim Allione.
One of my teachers introduced me to Lama Tsultrim Allione's books and practices. It took me a while to get to them, and WOW am I ever glad I did!
This practice is enormously helpful. I took the opportunity to be guided through this when she offered a live Facebook practice in early March 2020. I asked her where I could find a recording of it, and she pointed me to this video.
I highly recommend this practice. It has helped me manage the anxiety and fear that threatens to overtake me from time to time these days, very effectively.
An excellent article by Otto Scharmer, a Senior Lecturer in the MIT Management Sloan School and co-founder of the Presencing Institute. He chairs the MIT IDEAS program for cross-sector innovation and introduced the concept of “presencing”—learning from the emerging future—in his bestselling books Theory U and Presence (the latter co-authored with P. Senge et al).
"We can rewrite the rules of the economy, in service to the sacred.
Each moment is a fundamental choice point that brings it closer to reality, strengthening the courage of humanity and coming back into kinship with all of life."
- Ian MacKenzie
I read this article early in the morning on March 28, 2020. Although I've never had the chance to read Ian MacKenzie's work before, I was struck by the resonance of his words and his invitation. Maybe you will be too.
