AT THE POWER PAUSE,
YOU BELONG!

Pause and gather with a global community of leaders.
Get grounded and tune into your own wisdom,
so you can meet the demands of your day with clarity, steadiness and choice.

You are not alone

Back when things were "normal" it could be very challenging to navigate. Many leaders were already carrying heavy burdens at work, in family relationships, and with a whole host of other challenges.

Add to that the global pandemic, economic challenges, deep political polarization and the louder calls for justice and social change and it is no wonder you may be feeling overwhelmed, less hopeful and even despairing these days. These are normal responses to a very disruptive and unusual set of circumstances.

The Power Pause was established on March 12, 2020 to be a safe haven and sacred space to support you as you navigate it all.

At the Power Pause, you'll quickly become part of a caring community of leaders who are willing to sit, get grounded and seek inner clarity and focus. Something about coming together and having the opportunity to speak with each other has made this twice-weekly gathering much more than just a meditation.

You are welcomed with open arms. The depth of connection that has been cultivated amongst those who participate is extraordinary!

How does it work?

Our global community meets every Monday and Thursday at 9am Eastern time for 30 minutes.

Shahmeen Sadiq, MCC, leads us through the gathering, live on Zoom.

The first 15 minutes are spent in some sort of mindfulness or meditation practice. Most days there is also some sort of a deeper personal inquiry or invitation to consider.

You can join with video or without. You can share what you are noticing, which is how we spend the second 15 minutes of our gathering. It is totally fine NOT to speak too! No pressure.

We have cultivated a loving and supportive sacred space for you to return to, where you belong, where you are enough, where you are at choice about how much to take in, what to take on and how much to share with others.

If you can't make it to the live sessions, don't worry. The mindfulness/meditation portion of the Power Pause is always recorded and an audio recording is placed in our subscriber library so you can download it to your phone and catch up by doing it later in the day.

One thing to be careful with - do not do the Power Pause if you are driving. It can be so relaxing that it can put you to sleep! We don't want that if you are driving a car or operating certain machinery.

Join us! You are most welcome.

What our members are saying about
the Power Pause:

The "ride your breath" advice came in handy as I received multiple texts from anxious clients...I asked what they were noticing in their bodies.  I asked them if they might consider the benefits to their peace if they may want to turn off their TVs and just close their eyes and breathe.  Watching all of that negativity live was causing huge anxiety and stress but they had the control to turn off the tv.

When the world seems out of control, it's great to focus on what we can control like our breath and what we surround ourselves with.

The Power Pause has provided me with innumerable benefits, including:

- the opportunity every day to pause and take time for myself to go slow, align and ground myself and move into my day with intention and inspiration

- the creation of a community of people (most of whom I have never met) who are open, vulnerable, authentic and supportive

- beautiful guidance from Shahmeen through the meditation that leads me into new territories that deserve exploration

Your Power Pause Meditations have made a huge difference in my life. I have attended almost every day of this meditation and have experienced much insight, compassion, love, support from the group. The daily themes usually fit perfectly with what I need, even if I don’t know beforehand. Listening to others’ reflecting on their meditation often brings new thoughts to ponder throughout the day that have resulted in learning, appreciation, even decisions. I cannot thank you enough for the commitment to the daily Power Pause, that you so freely give!

She also mentors seasoned leadership development coaches and consultants and HR professionals who support such leaders and organizations.

While she no longer jumps out of airplanes for fun, the spirit of confronting fears and leaping into life’s mysteries has always been with her. Since then, she has studied a breadth of human development and healing modalities from meditation/mindfulness, Pilates and yoga to family and systems constellations, through nutrition counselling and energy medicine. Her work weaves over 30 years of seeking, learning and integrating into potent transformational guidance for people who are interested in becoming whole, empowered contributors to the well-being of humanity.
